A: Use Lit Curls to go from afro to curls on ANY natural hair type with NO relaxer, texturizer or other damaging permanent chemical. Lit Curls gets you the curly look, but does not permanently alter hair. A: Lit Curls does not make RELAXED, chemically straightened or otherwise straight hair curly. This product is exclusively for natural afro type hair.

Q: What about color treated hair?
A: Lit Curls is 100% safe to use on color treated hair. No waiting after coloring is required. Lit Curls is not a relaxer, texturizer or any chemically altering hair product. Lit Curls does not permanently alter your hair. Lit Curls is a super moisturizing 3 step product that defines your natural hair curl pattern. Lit Curls allows you to wear your natural afro type hair in the "curly look"

Q: Do you have to have clean hair to use this product?
A: You must start with clean wet or dry hair. (air dried hair gives the best results) Do not use hair conditioner.
Q: Is Lit Curls a relaxer, texturizer, jerri curl or some kind of chemical treatment?
A: Lit Curls DOES NOT CHEMICALLY ALTER HAIR! Use Lit Curls to get defined, moisturized, shiny, soft and controlled natural curls and waves. Maintain it daily with the Lit Curls product. When you are ready to wash it out; your hair will return to its original state. Lit Curls is not a texturizer, relaxer, perm, or jerri curl. All of these products chemically and permanently alter your hair. Wash Lit Curls out and your hair is back to the way it was before you used it.
Q: Is this a black company or a “black fronted company”?
A: YES! Lit Curls is owned and operated by black women! This product was created by black women for black women with natural hair. That's why we love it and that's why it works.

A: Lit Curls takes 7-10 business days (business days are M-F, no holidays) to be delivered to your address. We ship USPS Priority Mail.
Q: Is there a money back guarantee? What if I don’t like Lit Curls or it does not work for me?
A: If you want to see your natural hair moisturized, defined, curly and wavy, you are going to have to take a leap of faith. Lit Curls is an awesome product for natural hair. Q: Do I need to know my hair type before using Lit Curls?
A: Lit Curls works on all natural afro type black hair. Your hair type does not matter assuming that it is natural and afro type (black hair). All afro hair types 4a, 4b, 4c, 4z, can wear the "curly look" with Lit Curls. You do not need to know your hair type to use this product
Q: What does Lit Curls smell Like? Is there a fragrance free version?
Lit Curls smells WONDERFUL! Lit curls smells like delicious candy. Lit Curls is not fragrance free.
Q: When I buy the product it says "choose your hair color". Why does this matter?
A: When you purchase Lit Curls be sure to choose GREY/SILVER/LIGHT HAIR OR DARK/BROWN/BLACK HAIR. If you don't choose we will send you a kit for DARK/BROWN/BLACK HAIR. GREY/SILVER/LIGHT HAIR: Ideal for all users with hair types of all colors. Works best for light colored hair because it dries clear.DARK/BROWN/BLACK HAIR: Ideal for ALL hair colors EXCEPT for white, blonde, or very grey hair because the product is brown and will be visible on light/white/silver or very grey hair after it dries.
Q: Will my hair still be curly and shiny after it dries? Will it be hard like hair gel makes it?
A: Lit Curls will keep your hair looking curly, soft, defined, and shiny after it dries. It will not be hard like with hair gel unless you apply the product incorrectly or use too much.
Q: My hair is relaxed (or any other permanent chemical treatment other then hair color) or my hair is heat damaged. Will Lit Curls make my hair curly?
A: Lit Curls WILL NOT make relaxed, heat damaged or otherwise straight hair curly. This product only works on natural afro textured hair.
Q: Can I cancel my order? Can I return my order? Can I get a refund?
A: Lit Curls is an awesome product for natural hair. This product is not returnable or refundable. Orders can not be cancelled.
Q: What about natural hair shrinkage?
A: We all hate shrinkage. We at Lit Curls avoid shrinkage in two ways: Use Lit Curls "Curl Weights" to weigh your hair down while drying. Check out our products to see details and a video. We use an anti shrinkage blow drying technique that involves stretching the hair while blow drying it. Click here to see video. Both of these techniques are VERY EFFECTIVE.
Q: How many applications of the Lit Curls product do you get when you buy the kit?
A: It all depends on how long and/or thick your hair is. If you have short hair that is kind of thin, you may get as many as 10 or more applications of the product on your hair. If you have thick long hair you may get as few as 5 or 6 applications of the product on your hair. It all depends on how much hair you have. Remember you must cover all of your hair with the Lit Curls product when you apply it. You must use the product daily to maintain your hair.
Q: Will Lit Curls work on 4C super tight coarse hair?
A: Lit Curls is STRONG; this product does not chemically alter your hair. Use Lit Curls to make your curls pop and stay put after drying. You must use the product daily to maintain your hair. Results on 4C hair will be defined, moisturized, shiny, small curls and waves all over your head.
Q: I'm local. Can I pick up Lit Curls at your mailing address?
No local pickups. Lit Curls is only available for purchase online. Lit Curls is not available in stores.

Q: I read that you should wear a scarf at night because Lit Curls is greasy. Is this true?
A: Yes, a little. But not more then other hair products that contain natural oils that can rub off on your pillow case. Lit Curls can be a little messy depending on how your hair takes the product and how much product you apply. LIT CURLS IS NOT GREASY LIKE A JERRI CURL, or anything like that, but you must make sure you wear a scarf/bonnet or Lit Curls Curl keeper at night. Wear the Lit Curls "Curl Keeper" or some other bonnet to keep your hair protected from breakage while sleeping. When you wake up, remove your scarf and shake your hair a little and let your hair relax itself from being cooped up in a bonnet or scarf. Do this before styling or daily maintenance.
Q: What is 3A-4C hair type? What is my hair type?
A: 3A-4C refers to your hair type. Generally speaking 4C hair is the most coarse, dry, coily natural hair. The 3A hair type is less coily and softer. Hair type is not relevant when using the Lit Curls product on your natural hair. All afro hair types are unique. Lit Curls allows you to wear your natural hair with the curly look. Our afro type hair IS curly! We simply need the right product to moisturize, stretch, and define our hair into the curly look.
